Gem AI interview integration
Connect Gem and let Hyrr's live AI interviewer run the first round: open jobs arrive as drafts with a scorecard drafted, and once you switch on automatic import, applicants with a resume are screened on your rubric and the rest are invited to interview.
How Hyrr works with Gem
- 1
Connect Gem
An admin opens Organization → Integrations in Hyrr, picks Gem and authorizes it in Merge's secure connection window. Some systems first need an integration user or API credentials created on their side; the team can help.
- 2
Open jobs arrive as drafts
Each open job in Gem comes into Hyrr as a draft, with a scorecard and interview questions drafted from its description. Your team reviews them and publishes.
- 3
Applicants come in when you want them to
Switch automatic import on for the company or for a single job. Applicants with a resume are screened against the job's rubric; applicants without one receive an interview invitation.
- 4
Candidates interview, live
The AI interviewer runs the interview whenever the candidate is ready: in the browser, or by phone where you switch it on. It asks its own follow-up questions from what the candidate says, and sees code and whiteboard work as it happens.
- 5
Read the evidence
Every interview produces a report: each skill scored against your grading guide, the evidence quoted, a scoring trace and the recording, shareable with a read-only link.
Syncing runs on a schedule, and any time you press Sync now.
About Gem
Gem started in sourcing and candidate relationship management and now offers a full recruiting platform: an applicant tracking system, a CRM, AI-assisted sourcing, scheduling and analytics. Talent teams can run it as their ATS or add its sourcing and CRM on top of another system.
Gem is a trademark of its owner. Hyrr connects to it through Merge.
Gem and Hyrr: questions
We use Gem for sourcing alongside another ATS. Which one should we connect?
Connect the system where your open jobs and applications live, because that is what Hyrr reads. If that is Gem's own ATS, connect Gem; if your jobs live in a separate applicant tracking system, connect that one instead.
Can we find strong Gem candidates again for future roles?
Yes. Hyrr keeps a talent pool you can search by the skills candidates demonstrated in their interviews, so someone who narrowly missed one role can be found when a similar one opens. Scout, Hyrr's assistant, also answers questions about your hiring data in plain English.
How do we connect Gem?
An admin connects Gem from Organization → Integrations in Hyrr and authorizes it in Merge's secure window. Some systems first need an integration user or API credentials created on their side; the team can help with that.
Does Hyrr write results back into Gem?
No. Reports, scores and recordings live in Hyrr, and every report has a read-only share link you can add to the candidate's record in Gem. Anything custom can go through Hyrr's public API.
What does Hyrr cost?
$6 per completed interview, with no seats, no platform fee and no annual minimum. A new account starts with 60 minutes of interview time free, and enterprise teams can ask about volume pricing and onboarding.
